According to preliminary reports, Shukla allegedly overwrote OMR sheets of selected candidates after the official exam process was concluded, altering the results in favor of certain individuals in exchange for large sums of money. Authorities have confirmed that Sanjay Shukla is currently absconding, and a manhunt has been launched by Delhi Police. Raids are ongoing in various parts of the city and surrounding areas, and a lookout notice has been issued.

Students and parents across India have expressed anger and disappointment, demanding a transparent investigation and re-evaluation of OMR sheets. Protests erupted outside the NTA office in Delhi, with slogans like “Justice for NEET aspirants” and “Punish the culprits” echoing through the crowd.
The Education Ministry has also taken note of the issue and is expected to issue an official response soon.
